Yeah, I was there....
My ticket stub collection tells me I was at this show, but it sure doesn't stand out in my mind. The rough neighborhood of the Meadowlands can be a scary venue for Deadheads from other parts of the country, and New Jersey hospitality is in short supply. Bobby and Brent went a long way to make up for a weak voiced Jerry. Franklin's Tower: Jerry gets confused, and we listen to the music play. Little Red Rooster: a real sleeper, sit down and roll some bones. Peggy O': no help, zzzzzzzz! Me and My Uncle & Mexacali Blues were more like it, thank-you Bobby. Push Comes to Shove was strong and danceable. Jack Straw: OK, now Jerry's awake too, best of show! Deal:YES!, cool drums, Terrapin, Other One. A perfect Black Muddy River was a mellow end for a too mellow show.
